Engine Co. 3 responded to a mutual aid structure fire with the Canajoharie Fire Department on January 1st, 2009. The home owner perished in this New Years Eve fire.
Due to the location of this incident, the fire was not discovered until it was observed and reported by Canajoharie firefighters while they were operating at the scene of a one car rollover approximately 3 miles south of this location. First arriving units reported this incident fully involved upon arrival.
Above firefighters from St. Johnsville, Canajoharie, Fort Plain, Rural Grove and Ephratah work to extinguish the fire.
