On May 27th, 2007 Engine Companies #1, #3 and #6 responded to a motor vehicle fire on New Street in the Village of St. Johnsville. Upon arrival it was discovered that the fire had extended to a two family dwelling.
Firefighters arrive to find the motor vehicle fully involved with substantial extension to the exterior and an interior stairway of the adjacent dwelling.
Firefighters quickly extinguish the fire with lines pulled from engine #1. The vehicle was a total loss but the residence only suffered minor damage. No firefighter or civilian injuries were sustained.
